Mike Escobedo, DVM

Mike Escobedo, DVM graduated from Texas A&M University in 1983 with a Bachelor of Science Degree. He then was accepted into the College of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 1988 with his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Escobedo attends at least 30-40 hours of continuing education seminars each year to provide the highest quality of care to your pets.
Dr. Escobedo began caring for pets at Cornerstone Animal Clinic in 1990 and has been the practice owner since 1991. Both Dr. Escobedo and Cornerstone Animal Clinic belong to several associations that inspire excellence in veterinary practitioners and define superior standards in veterinary hospitals.
As the practice owner, Dr. Escobedo places emphasis on preventative care for your pets and strives to create an atmosphere where your pets are treated as if they were our own.
Dr. Escobedo shares his home with his wonderful wife, Yvonne and their son Connor.
Tony Lopez, DVM, DABVP

Dr. Lopez joined Cornerstone Animal Clinic in 2002 after five years of small animal medical practice in the Dallas area. Dr. Lopez obtained his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Oklahoma State University in 1997.
Dr. Lopez is a board certifiied specialist in canine and feline practice. This is a specialist certification available only by completing a rigorous and demanding application process and certification examination. The American Board of Veterinary Practitioners was established in 1978 to recognize excellence in clinical practice through the certification of species oriented specialists. Dr. Lopez is very progressive in continuing education and has many hours over the required amount, attending both local and national veterinary meetings and conferences. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the Texas Veterinary Medical Association (TVMA), Dallas County Veterinary Medical Association (DCVMA), and the Veterinary Information Network (VIN).
Dr. Lopez shares his home with 2 dogs: a border collie named Wyatt, a boston terrier named Phyllis, and 2 cats: Gimly and Eli.
Jennifer Houck, DVM
Dr. Jennifer Houck attended Texas A&M University from 1982-1989 obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in 1986 and a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. She has had the opportunity to care for cats and dogs at several veterinary hospitals in the DFW area prior to joining the staff at Cornerstone Animal Clinic.
Dr. Houck enjoys the variety of medical and surgical experiences encountered in practice and the relationships developed with clients and their pets. She attends continuing education courses throughout the year to maintain a progressive, pro-active approach to patient care. She is a member of several professional veterinary organizations including the AVMA, TVMA, and DCVMA.\
She currently shares her homr with four furry friends: 1 dog: Axl (an energetic lab mix), and 3 cats: Millie (an introverted, sweet, 1997 "model"), Hollie (an amputee who doesn't know anything is missing), and Dashiell (the playful hunter), all of whom remind her daily how to live one day at a time.
